Have you heard about the new intermediate school? The intermediate school is the cause of our traffic at the school (More information on the traffic here:) That isn’t the only purpose for this new school. Here is some information that our superintendent Mrs. Godfrey provided for us:

The new intermediate school will be a hub building with two wings behind it. The main hub is going to contain offices and extra rooms. The first wing will be the middle school and the elementary school is going to be the second wing close to the rock gym, which is what the students are going to use. The middle school will be closer to the high school because they have some shared classes. The hub building will have a new auditorium, a new cafeteria, and some offices. Right now the school only has so much money to build the new school so what they are going to do is make the hub with the auditorium, cafeteria, and offices and then make the first wing for the middle school. Whenever the school raises or is granted more money they are going to add on the elementary. When the school is done the current middle school will be demolished and made into the new car drop off as well as staff parking. When the new school is complete the buses will be where the cafeteria, nurses office, and old kindergarten buildings are now. The school’s plan of completion is December of 2026 and that’s substantial completion so we should be able to move into it on that date. However, the actual school should be completely ready by June 2027. The new intermediate school is going to be bigger, but that is because it’s going to include amenities that serve the whole campus like the nurses, communities for students, speech language pathology, and many more as well as having middle school, elementary school, the auditorium, a media center, an art room for middle and high schoolers, a music room, and cafeteria. This means it will be bigger but have no effect on staff. Once the school has the money for the elementary wing the current elementary building will become the new central office. The current central office will be given back to the high school and be part of the CTE classes.
