We are coming to the end of school, and we interviewed students in different grades to see how their school year has been. Here are the responses we got back.
From the Freshman class:
- “This is my first year up here but it’s been pretty good. It’s not how I thought it was going to be at all. I’ve been getting closer with more people.” – Jordan Cooper
- “This is my first year in high school. It’s been great. Way better than middle school.” – Maddie Long
- “This year has had its ups and downs. I feel like I’ve gotten more mature over the year. High school has taught me a lot and made me a whole different person. Everyone has been very welcoming to the freshman.” – Aleigha Crawford
The Sophomore class had much to say…:
- “I feel that this year has been a new story and new hopes and struggles. I feel this year will be a year that’s unforgettable.” – Hawk Collins
- “I feel like this year has been rough but I made the best of it even with all of my struggles. I feel happier this year.” – Lily
- “I feel like this year has been rough but I’ve learned a lot from it and now I feel like there is going to be growth.” – Madalynn Nemkovich
- “This year has been entirely different than last year and the year before. For me, there have been so many changes. Positive or negative, changes are good.” – Erica Leib
- “I feel very confident this year, and that we have more freedom, the year is going great.” – Callie Long
- “I think my year has been good. I have made new friends.” – Emily Aguilera
- “This year has been great. I have made lots of new friends and have experienced so many great things in school.” – Olivia Free
This is what the junior class has to say about their year:
- “I think this year is going well. I’m locked in on getting good grades and getting jacked.” – Brendon Collins.
- “I think this year is the best! Can’t wait to leave this place!” – Ezekiel Rogers
- “I think this year has been very good! I’m so glad I moved here.” – Alexis Parker
- “Best part of my school year was spending time with my girlfriend.” – Nathaniel Worley
- “The best part of my year so far has been getting to meet new people at a new school. Life is looking up from here already. Hayesville is filled with the most welcoming people I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to see what’s next.” – Adrian Fuentes
This is what the seniors had to say about their last year here:
- “Senior year!! This school year for me has been pretty laid back with classes but a little complicated with scholarships and applications. Weird feeling knowing you’re not coming back next year so far sure I’ll miss high school a little bit.” – Maddie Graves
- “The best part of senior year has been getting to leave school early and come in late where I only have 3 blocks.” – Chance Hughes
