The Global Studies Program participants went on a wonderful trip with abundant interesting facts and information, so many things were seen and learned! This field trip took place on Friday, March 28. Mrs. Scerri, Mrs. Calascione, and chaperones took 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th graders on this field trip. They traveled to Nashville, TN and went to The Lost Sea, The Parthenon, Taziki’s West End Mediterranean Restaurant, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, where they had dinner and watched a concert. It was a pretty full day! At the lost sea, students got the opportunity to be in a cave and have a boat ride there as well. They learned things about caves and the lake from their guide. They tried new things at the restaurant as well. At the Parthenon, they walked around and saw new things and read about everything there, as well as getting the chance to buy some souvenirs from the gift shop there. At Vanderbilt, students got to take a tour and a student there offered to walk them around. Then, they went over to Belmont where they were able to go to the dining hall and eat, then watch a concert there too. As being a part of the Global Studies Program and a mentor in 9th grade, I think this trip was amazing! I experienced new things and learned so much, took beautiful pictures of all of the sights, and I was able to socialize with people in this program as well. I’m so excited for what next year’s trip will bring!
