Mrs. Foley is a staff member at Hayesville High School. She’s not only a teacher but she also is our student council advisor. Mrs. Foley has been organizing homecoming since 2023. What Homecoming means to Mrs. Foley is that one time each year when everyone, students, alumni, staff and families come together to celebrate shared pride in our school. Beyond the football game, it’s about remembering where you’ve come from, recognizing how far you’ve grown and connecting with the people who’ve been part of your journey. Mrs. Foley is really proud of the way we do Homecoming at HHS. She says ‘’some schools have all four grade levels involved, but I think that takes away from how meaningful Homecoming is. I love that our senior class gets to nominate ten young ladies to represent their class, and then the whole student body votes for the queen.’’ Mrs. Foley thinks that the most rewarding part for her is definitely Homecoming night and seeing all the girls dressed up, standing on the field, hearing about their future plans, and knowing it’s a moment they’ll remember forever. Mrs. Foley says that the biggest challenge in putting together a successful Homecoming is time!
