Tri-M stands for ‘Modern Music Masters’. The requirements to be inducted in this honors society are the following: You must take a music class such as Chorus or Band for at least one semester and maintain an A as a final grade, you also must maintain a B average in the rest of your classes.
Tri-M had their induction ceremony on February 6 in the lecture hall; few were re-inducted to the honors society. We interviewed a few members of Tri-M. We asked Hanna Bradshaw, who has been a member of Tri-M for 3 years now, how can Tri-M influence your chances in colleges. Her response was the following: “Tri-M shows that you can communicate and work with those around you as well as the ability to collaborate with your peers.”
We also interviewed 3 new members: Breanna Patterson, Fara Ammons, and Pyper Ledford. We asked each of them the following question, ‘How does it feel to be a Tri-M member?’ And they all responded with “It feels great! It’s a huge honor to be apart of Tri-M.” Each member receives a pink cord at graduation, proving their dedication to the society.
