Since autumn has begun, the shops have started to equip themselves for the occasion, shops such as supermarkets or coffee shops. In this article in particular I will take into consideration how Starbucks has decided to welcome fall and as an exchange student who doesn’t have Starbucks in Italy, I’ll even discover new things. As we all know, Starbucks is considered a coffee shop and as such has decided to provide a fall menu of “seasonal drinks.”
The menu includes some returning sips, like the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, plus two NEW drinks: the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte and the Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso. Let’s talk about traditional drinks first: According to www.starbucks.com, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is “an Espresso and steamed milk with pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg flavors, topped with whipped cream” and the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is a “cold brew sweetened with vanilla-flavored syrup, finished with pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin-spice topping.”
Speaking of the new drinks, I must introduce you: the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte, which includes “layers of Starbucks Blonde Espresso, spiced apple flavors and creamy oat milk” and the Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso, which is a” blend of black tea infused with warming spices and milk, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam”.
Starbucks has also decided to provide two desserts to accompany the seasonal drinks: Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, that is a “spiced pumpkin muffin with sweet cream-cheese filling and a pepita sprinkling” and the New Baked Apple Croissant, which is a “flaky croissant wrapped around warm apple filling and baked to a golden-brown finish”.
I also decided to interview some people to gain feedback about what Starbucks has to offer. I asked each person the same two questions: “Do you drink Starbucks seasonal drinks?” “If yes, what’s your favorite? or if not, why don’t you like it?”
I interviewed my host mom Christina and she said, “Yes, I do. I love Starbucks and my favorite seasonal drink is the pumpkin spice latte”; I asked the same questions to my host dad James and he said, “No, I don’t drink seasonal drinks and Starbucks in general because they have so much sugar in them and I don’t want that amount of sugar in my diet.” In the end, I interviewed my host sister Lilli and she said, ” Yes, I do drink Starbucks and seasonal drinks, and if I have to chose I’ll probably say that my favorite is the pumpkin cream chai tea latte is my favorite.” I think the seasonal menu is an excellent idea to attract buyers and I’m convinced that Starbucks is doing it best.
